Pizza Night in Hell's I mean Tyler's Kitchen

We had a little family night tonight and made our own pizza's for dinner.
The kids loved it. Tyler loves to make his own meals and I really should take him up on it more frequently. Kendall probably had more fun doing it than Tyler because he was so serious. He would tell Kendall, "well that's not a very good pizza, Kendall. You need to spread the sauce around like this" She didn't care but I couldn't even get a picture with Tyler smiling because he was so concerned with his pizza.
Daddy looks sort of serious too. But once it was all done excitement ensued. Put the pizza in the oven and voila! Yummy!

A Day in My Life

I put this up on Face book but I meant to just put it up here. Too many technologies and I'm getting confused. Anyway I thought it would be a fun challenge to "document" my day. So here goes can you see what a typical Monday looks like? The kids wake and immediately eat breakfast. Then we all get ready.

We have a small commute to Preschool and on Monday's we have Kendall's dance class. We come home for lunch where mommy will fix something good for Kendall to eat but then mommy just has a diet coke and chips usually. Mainly because I don't' want to eat what the kids are eating. During nap time I'm usually getting stuff done around the house but today I chose to knit. Yes knit. It's going to take me a LONG time to finish that scarf.

Anyway I end my day with a glass of wine because well . . . it's better than taking a Vicoden.

Chef Tyler

Tyler had his first cooking class today. They made fruit roll-ups. I have to say when putting the ingredients together for one of them I about barfed. Who wants to eat a whole wheat tortilla, with cut up bananas, cinnamon and shredded cheese? ugh.... BUT I actually tasted it and it wasn't half bad. Tyler loved them, he made two one with apples and the other with the banana's. He ate quite a bit while we were there but then class was over and we had to go so we wrapped it up so Daddy could have them for Breakfast tomorrow. Oh what a lucky daddy! The class is great because I just sit back and watch. Tyler is always wanting to help me but I don't have as lot of patience in the kitchen. Tyler got to use a knife (which at home I only let him have a kiddie butter knife) The knife they use is awesome it's basically a pumpkin carving knife so they can't hurt themselves, but they think they have something "dangerous" and the best part I didn't have to clean up any mess.

Little B Ball

Tyler had his first "real" basketball game today. He'd played a little at the Y last session but it was mostly drills. Today was a new organization and they have 30 minute practice and then 30 minute games. Daddy is assistant coach.

(Kendall the cheerleader). Tyler is by far the smallest and probably the youngest.

There was one other 4 year old there who was just as timid as Tyler but he was still taller (wearing the green shirt underneath), I'm thinking (hoping he was a few months older than Tyler and that was why he was taller). Anyway it was hilarious, Tyler was basically playing his own game in his head out there. He said he had fun so that's all that matters. The pictures can't capture his goofiness but the video explains it all. Take a look; in the video he's the dark shirt 11 (it's not hard to find him he's the smallest one out there) At the end he wipes out.

Ski Bunny

Tyler had his first ski lesson last night. I was able to get a couple of snapshots but then it got dark. So next week I'll try and bring our new flip video camera and see if we can get him actually skiing. I think he had a lot of fun, he said he did anyway. Kendall just made snow angels while we watched.

Lilliput times two

Well Kendall is (or will be turning) 2.9 years (it's actually 2 and 9 months not 2.9 years but that's a whole other debate) Anyway she's old enough to go to Lilliput with Tyler. Now Tyler LOVES his preschool in fact so much so that he has no desire to go to kindergarten or college. He plans to stay at Lilliput indefinitely. Good thing he has another year there before he will get yanked out. So Tyler was very excited for Kendall to go to his school too. And she has been really excited too. I thought she'd miss her old school because it was a great place too but she had a wonderful first day and even had lunch there like Tyler does and when we came to pick her up she rushed up to her new teacher and gave her a big hug goodbye. I guess that means she loves Lilliput as much as Tyler does. It's just too bad that both kids aren't going on the same days. I'm still working on next year. So far they are scheduled for the same days next year only Kendall in the morning and Tyler in the afternoon. That's really not going to cramp my style so I hope we can get moved up and off the wait list so they are both in school in the mornings.
