Dress-Up

I've been taking a photo class this month and today was our last class. We had to do a photo journalistic story for our final project so I thought I would share mine. The teacher gave me an "A". Go me!

Baby Loves Disco

Tyler and I went clubbing in the city this afternoon. I think we would have had an even better time if Kendall could have joined us. Unfortunately she naps from 1-4 still and the event was from 2-5. It was Tyler's first real experience in the city. It was funny he kept telling me he needed his Boston hat (red sox baseball hat) because we were going to Boston. I had to tell him we weren't going to a baseball game we were going dancing. When we came out of the tunnel into the city Tyler exclaimed "Wow, the city" I think he was quite impressed with all the tall buildings. Baby loves disco is located at a real nightclub in the city and they have lots of snacks and even a full bar for the parents (mommy will be taking a Designated Driver next time). Tyler was getting his flirt on with the bartender.








The dance floor has a bubble machine and lights and they do not play any kid music it's just 1970 dance tunes. Tyler did have fun chasing down the disco lights. The music was a little too loud for Tyler so we never stayed downstairs at the dance floor for too long. Plus it seems Tyler is taking after me and likes to sit himself right next to the food and eat the whole time. I think he still had a nice time and next time we hope to take Kendall with us.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well we're not Irish but we like to celebrate anyway. I forgot to get pictures of the kids this morning before they left for school so I had to hurry and take a few before we went next door for Corned Beef and let me tell you these kids are getting harder and harder to photograph. Tyler wouldn't stop being goofy and Kendall wasn't really in the mood either after her nap so this was about all I could get. Anyway hope everyone had a wonderful and lucky St. Patrick's Day.

A Little Wii Between You and Mii

On Friday our new TV for downstairs was installed as well as a Wii. The kids are still a bit young for it but they still had fun learning. Tyler got a little bored with it after awhile but Kendall didn't want to stop.








Our family evening was a hit with baseball, golf and a little American Idol thrown in there. Daddy got the highest score. Mommy will try and bet the scores this next week when he's gone.

Do you remember this picture? Well I took it last summer when our little town was running a photo contest on "Summer Recreation . . . The benefits are endless" I had forgotten all about it but today I received word that I had won.
The prize, was a dozen Wicked Good Cookies displaying my winning photo and a $25 gas card and will be posting it on the Parks & Rec website soon. Plus earlier this month I found out the Boylston Library was going to post this ice storm picture I took. I've made the big time or no one else is submitting pictures. Probably more likely the latter. Anyway I'm loving my camera I've started a photography class and hoping that for my birthday I can get the upgraded lens for it, then all those professionals better watch out!
