Beach Ball Sprinkler

We picked up a little sprinkler thing for the kids and as you can see they had a ball with it. We don't need no stinkin' pool.

Easy Breezy

Today we went to Breezy Picnic Grounds and Water slides. It was a blast. They have a lake that you can swim in with a very small beach area but we didn't spend any time there we just kept going down the water slides. Since the kids were under 5 years of age we had to ride with them so I wasn't able to get many pictures. But I did make Kevin go first to see how the kids would do. Being a kid himself he didn't mind. Tyler immediately wanted to keep going on them.












Kendall would want to go and then after she said she was all done because it was to scary. But then not even a minute later, she'd say "I go again."












She loved the thrill of the "scary water slides". She would talk all about it up the hill to the top of the slides. It really was a good time and not far from our house, we'll have to go again soon. If the weather holds up that is.

Narragansett, Rhode Island

Today we went to the beach. It was one of the first beautiful days we've had this summer. I had planned on taking more pictures but there was so much sand everywhere and it was a little breezy I just didn't want to risk getting sand in my lenses right before my "busy" month of family portraits. Anyway the kids seemed to love it, sometimes I wonder why I love the beach so much. I hate the sand, the seagulls and the water. It was pretty crowded so we didn't get too close to the water, the kids really just wanted to play in the sand anyway. But once they were introduced to the water, Kendall didn't want to get out and kept wanting to go back for more. The waves here are nothing compared to California but Kendall still got smacked in the face by a few. Of course it didn't seem to bother her, she'd just shake her head and laugh, that is until a second one hit her immediately after the first and the she said "go back now". And the water was freezing, now it's cold in Northern Cal too but I never had to go in the water back there so it didn't bother me. The water temp doesn't seem to bother the kids so I think the water activity will have to be daddy's gig from now on.

Happy 4th of July!

Today was actually the first day in about 2 weeks that we've seen the sun. Thunder showers have been a daily occurrence here. Anyway we were going to watch fireworks nearby but they kept rescheduling them and now it's scheduled for Sunday so I'm not sure if we will go or not. But today we went to a little community day at the park. Just did some bounce houses then went to the play yard. We didn't stay long it was happening from noon-4 and you know how I am with the naps. We needed to be back for Kendall's nap at 1. So while Kendall slept Tyler had his quiet time and then got to play around with the hose. And then when Kendall woke from her nap we had our own kick off to summer. Watermelon, watermelon and more watermelon. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe 4th of July.

Swim Lessons

Since Daddy was off work today because of the holiday he was able to come to swim lessons with us. This made Tyler goof off during his class so I couldn't get any good ones of him. Kevin tried to take pictures of me and Kendall but most of them were out of focus because he just can't seem to get the camera to work for him. Anyway we got a couple so I thought I would share. Kendall is doing great in her class, last session she had a death grip hold on me. But this session once she found out she wouldn't sink with her bubble on she's been great and wants to do it all herself. She LOVES swimming and cries every time class is over.
